Dr. Lenore Tate, PhD
Lenore A. Tate, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with a vision and a career that has been committed to promoting mental and behavioral health and public policy. Dr. Tate has dedicated more than 30 years to mental health specializing in neuropsychology, geriatrics, forensic psychology and trauma. She has spent 12 years in public policy while working for the California Assembly and Senate and as a consultant with numerous public and private organizations. She has Chaired the Psychology Program at Prairie View A and M University (an HBCU), been co-director of the Adult Development and Aging Program at Arizona State University, Director of the Forensic Psychology Program at Alliant International University and Government Affairs Director for Pfizer, Inc. and the California Primary Care Association. She has also consulted with and been a grant reviewer for SAMHSAs Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Centers for Disease Control, and the Administration on Children, Youth and Families, National Conference on State Legislators, Congressional Black Caucus as well as other local, state and federal entities. She has also been a board member or has held leadership roles with the Gerontological Society of America, American Society of Aging, Center for Black Aged, Chair of the Arizona’s Governors Conference on Aging, and Reviewer for the U.S. Administration on Aging; the International Journal of Aging and Human Development and Sage.
She has successfully developed, written and shepherded key legislation on behavioral health issues such as: the establishment of the Office of Minority Health, continuing education in the areas of cultural competency and aging for health professionals to ensuring that women were included in pharmaceutical clinical trials in California.
Dr. Tate received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology, her two year Geriatric/Neuropsychological Post-Doctoral Fellowship, was sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health at the University of Texas Medical Center; she received her Master’s from Howard University and her Bachelor’s degree from Mills College. She has lived, traveled and studied in Europe, Northern Africa and the Caribbean. Dr. Lenore Tate is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Silver/Legacy).

CORPORATE CARE
Our workplace crisis stabilization program provides rapid access to professional services for all human resource, security and management associates. When a workplace crisis occurs, research has shown that timely, effective intervention greatly improves an organization/employer’s chances of achieving positive outcomes. Our corporate clients have immediate access to the highest level of psychological/social services anytime of the day or night.
